The
Intel-Lab CZ1200 NTEP Approved gold buying scale is for use in general
purpose weighing applications. The CZ-1200 series Class II scales are
suitable for use as jewelers balances, top loading balances or grain test
scales which can be used as legal for trade. The Manufacturer's identification,
model number and serial number are on a sensitive label attached to the
right side of the scale platform. The label is perforated and will tear
if attempts are made to remove it. The device is sealed with a Category
1 Audit Trail. Access to the Audit Trail information is by Press the ON/OFF
key. During self check PRESS P key shows calibration number, PRESS S key
shows configuration number.
In
order to obtain NTEP Class 2 legal for trade status, the CZ 1200 balance
was tested with emphasis of the evaluation on the device design, operation,
performance, marking requirements and compliance with influence factor
requirements several increasing/decreasing and shift tests were conducted.
The device was tested statically over a temperature range of -10 C to
40 C. A load of approximately one-half capacity was applied to the scale
over 100,000 times. The scale was tested periodically over this time.
Additional tests were conducted using 102 VAC and 132 VAC and 5.6 VDC
and 7.7 VDC power supplies.
