Double Check Your Ship To Address

By | October 31, 2019

Hi there, this entry is a simple reminder to all of you to please double check your ship to address when placing an order with us (or any other website). The reason we are telling you this is due to the fees we are seeing from the shipping carriers, especially UPS and Fed Ex.

In the last few months, UPS who we primarily use has raised their address correction fees to around $16. So, if we ship a box to you and the address is not correct, UPS will correct the address and then charge us a fee for the correction.

This fee is in addition to the original shipping charge. So we then have to bill you the additional charge (assuming the error was not our doing).

It’s also worth noting that the corrections are sometimes pretty trivial in our opinion but nevertheless it’s UPS decision and they ultimately are the ones doing this. We’ve seen corrections such as US Highway instead of just Highway, a suite number left off, incorrect zip code, etc…

So, if you have an address that’s a little confusing, we encourage you to check with UPS and FedEx and determine exactly what is the correct address they need. It could save you a lot of headaches and money in the long run.
